Welcome Message

Dear SPAWC 2020 Participants:

On behalf of the organization committee, we would like welcome you to the 21st IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (IEEE SPAWC 2020), scheduled on May 26 to 29, 2020, which originally planned to hold in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, now turns into a virtual conference due to COVID-19.

The IEEE SPAWC is the conference uniquely sponsored by the Signal Processing for Communications and Networking (SPCOM) Technical Committee (TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS). As you know, wireless communications have changed every aspect of our life in the last couple decades and signal processing, ranging from traditional to machine learning-based techniques, plays a critical role to make this happen. As a tradition, [read more]

The safety and well-being of our participants is of paramount importance to IEEE Signal Processing Society. On 11 March 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a pandemic. After careful consideration and in light of the global health emergency and pervasive travel restrictions, IEEE Signal Processing Society has made the difficult decision to convert SPAWC 2020 to a fully virtual conference.
We were looking forward to seeing everyone at SPAWC in Atlanta, GA, USA, but we are excited for the opportunity to innovate by creating an engaging virtual conference that will be rewarding for both presenters and attendees.
Immediate guidance for authors and information about registration and participation are given on the corresponding web pages.
The conference will still take place between May 26-29, as these are the dates people have allocated to attend the conference. We expect most participants will still commit their time during this window to participate in the conference, and have discussions with fellow researchers around the world.
Registration will provide each participant with an access code to participate in sessions. For authors, registration is required for accepted papers to be considered for inclusion into IEEE Xplore. Registration funds collected will be used to support the infrastructure needed to host and support the virtual conference.

The 21st IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC) will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USAvirtually, May 26-29, 2020. A flagship workshop of the Signal Processing for Wireless Communications and Networking Technical Committee (SPCOM-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, SPAWC 2020 is devoted to advances in signal processing for wireless communications, networking, and information theory. The technical program features special sessions, as well as invited and contributed papers presented in poster format. The conference proceedings will be published on IEEE Xplore.
For more information on the technical program see here.
